Maybe it's just Davis' inking style, but the poses and the portraits on the wall made me instantly think of Kevin O'Neill's cover for the hardcover edition of LOEG vol. 1.
I think the subject matter connects them a bit. (Weird artifacts in the background, the team is an eclectic collection of distinct characters.) The inking styles are thin, too, like you pointed out.
