Comic Con PRO!

I got my confirmation from Comic Con that I have been accepted as a Professional. This is excellent news, because besides letting me march around looking snooty, Amy and I get in free. You are required to submit proof of your professional status, so I sent in some recent illustration work I'd done (the Digital Bits t-shirts, Anthony's bearings, and the Fools poster), but I was worried that wouldn't be good enough.

Congrats! I've been fighting to get mine. I sent in a pay stub and a list of credits on work I had done and I was told it wasn't enough. They wanted screen captures of my end title credits AND my IMDB profile printed out and mailed in. Maybe they thought I was a janitor at Rhythm when they saw my pay stub? A little frustrating but I hope it goes through in time to earn the credentials. Otherwise I may have to go in as one of the lowly common folk.

Are you kidding me, Shane? As I was applying, I was thinking, "Man, I wish I had a pay stub from a legitimate company rather than my bakc-alley illustration work." You know, you should consider calling them. I called them a few days ago when I was thinking about sending something else in, and was able to talk to someone right away who was very nice and helpful. If you explain your situation, she should be able to tell you exactly what the problem was and what they're looking for.

The number is on the "Incomplete Registration" email. It's 619-414-1020, and you have to call before May 1st.

Sweet! Are you going to all four days, or just some? We want to go w/you kids, so just tell us what days we need to buy.
