Lately

Lately I've been reading The Kite Runner; watching Michael Clayton, Godfather with the commentary, First Blood with the commentary, and lots of Looney Tunes cartoons (mostly Chuck Jones'); selling most of my DVDs in preparation for an HDTV and a Blu-Ray player; reading Blu-Ray reviews; loving my wife; running (2 miles, 3 times per week).

I also got to hang out with Tawney and Elizabeth one night, went skating once with Jordan, hung out with Ian, Frankie, Shane and Andrea for some Smash Brothers Brawl fun, and had the brothers over for Rubios and a dumb movie. Also watched the Biola Lacrosse team beat Pepperdine in sudden-death overtime, where my brother Ben got clocked in the face so bad his helmet bent and he had to get stitches for a gash under his eye (no penalty was called). Last night I shopped for HDTVs (at Costco and online). Oh yeah, Amy and I got to hang out with Doug TenNapel and some forum friends a few weeks back. Here's a picture (Lindsay didn't like how she looked, so she switched herself out):
Tonight Amy and I are going to the Prices for movie night!

Sounds like you two are enjoying life! That's great! Time with friends is always well spent. Can't wait to get together with everyone again.

Very nice. You guys are a blessing to me and I look forward to joining in next time with hanging out with Doug and the gang.

I've been flirting with the idea of getting an obselete HD DVD player once prices go down and enjoying the HD DVD back catalogue, one steal after another.

It would work in a limited capacity. As long as most of your favorites are already on HD-DVD, you could probably enjoy yourself for a bit. But ultimately, as everything else gets released on Blu-Ray, you'd regret it.
